AGE - Just a number 😉

The most cliche statement you get to hear often is "Age is just a number", which in "technical" sense is true 😋. However nobody goes by this so called cliche paradox. My birthday just went by , it was absolutely overwhelming to hear from folks all around the planet .Thats when i realised my world is indeed big 😁 woohooooo !!!. Who says world is a small place...lol. Now getting to the fun part, every other call came with a question on how does it feel to be in your mid thirties or rather getting older? (Uhh ..ahhh) In fact someone from my immediate family clearly indicated that this birthday marks the completion of half of my life(lol ...lol) . Ironically in my head I kept thinking the fun part of my life has just begun ha ha(different people different perspectives I tell ya). Why do people think that with age going up in number the curve on the graph of having fun or doing what you like goes down?  If someone gave me a chance to go back in time I would say a big loud NO!!!!. I am completely enjoying my thirties and I love the idea of being in total anticipation of what next year is going to bring in for me.I am not saying my 20's weren't exciting or my gawky teenage years were less adventurous. Every phase has its charm. I might come across weirdly effervescent when I say I can't wait to sway into my 40 's ha ha !!(with my crazy hair comes my crazy thoughts). Age is not a limitation or a restriction, it is just simple science that people have started associating with a list of  do's and dont's . There is no age limit to start something new and like wise no age limit to end something that you don't agree to. There are so many living examples around us who achieved success in their 50's or in their later years and then we have some people who tasted success right from their teenage years. Here the success was not based on the number of years of breathing on mother earth. Their success was more to do with what they believed in, what they strive for, their ability and the guts of taking risks, to sum it up its all about the attitude and opportunities life throws at you. Again success was just an example, pursuing or learning something you always wanted to is another tangent altogether. Best example i can pick here is of my mother dearest , this lady was a home bird for years and now that all of us are grown up and independent she has started globe trotting on her own. Her age doesn't stop her from pursuing her love for travelling(I am so proud of her). On the other hand I have my friend who is now a mother of two, been married for 10 odd years or more and still always in a quest of what she can learn and attends multiple classes. She takes up new courses right from dancing to finance and is always surprising me. In this arena she is more active than I am (darling you know who you are). I mean look at me, I started blogging now as i discovered my love and inclination towards writing. Talking about age there is no number at which you need to start or stop anything. You do things when you are ready for them. If you want to learn photography at the age of 60 go ahead, if you want to learn  swimming in your 40's there is nothing that should stop you. The common slogan these days is learn to celebrate life , well well! I say lets celebrate our selves first . Celebrate who you are, what you have done and what you want to do. Don't let the number game of age curb your inner self and desires 😉 Next time when someone picks on your age don't shy away or get upset, give them a big grin and feel proud of how well you are moving up the number game 😋
